What is the ARRL?

Excellent question! The ARRL is the national association for Amateur Radio in the United States.  Founded in 1914 by Hiram Percy Maxim as The American Radio Relay League, ARRL is a noncommercial organization of Questions?radio amateurs.  The ARRL is defined by five pillars: Public Service, Advocacy, Education, Technology, and Membership.

How is the ARRL organized?

The ARRL is divided in to 71 administrative sections across the United States and its territories.  The ARRL membership in each section elects a Section Manager every 2 years.  The Section Manager is responsible for managing the ARRL Field Organization programs in their respective sections.  The Section Manager appoints coordinators or section staff to help manage the programs.  Be sure to check out the “Meet the Section Staff” to learn more about the different programs.

      Hello George,
There isn’t any reason to log into the site as there are no active user elements available beyond what’s open through the menus.

I don’t see anything on the website about the nationwide ARES/Red Cross EmComm Simulation exercise on November 14. Will the Section not be participating again?

The Field Day clock should show negative time so I can input the correct space-time coordinates for my trip back to FD 2023. I just need to fill up the Mr. Fusion and I’ll be off.

          Hello Gary,
Meta boxes are handy, flexible, modular edit screen elements that can be used to collect information related to the post being edited. Your custom meta box will be on the same screen as all the other post related information; so a clear relationship is established. This is contained within the site and has nothing to do with “Meta” the company.
